LINDSAY O. WILLIAMS

Lindsay O. Williams focuses her practice on criminal appellate law. She is Board Certified in Criminal Appellate Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. Lindsay has over ten years of legal experience and has focused exclusively on appellate law for the majority of her career.
A DIVERSE LEGAL BACKGROUND
Lindsay served as staff attorney for Justice Sue Walker at the Second District Court of Appeals in Fort Worth for seven years before becoming of counsel to the Sparks Law Firm. At the court of appeals, Lindsay assisted Justice Walker with researching and drafting appellate opinions. Lindsay was extensively involved with all procedural and substantive aspects of an appeal, from the rules of error preservation and the rules of appellate procedure, to specific Texas statutory and common law.

Before working at the appellate court, Lindsay practiced with a Fort Worth law firm where she handled both litigation and transactional civil matters. She served as law clerk to Justice Sue Walker immediately after graduating from law school. Lindsay has also served as an adjunct professor of the Legal Research and Writing course at the UNT Dallas College of Law.
LEGAL EDUCATION & MEMBERSHIP
Lindsay graduated magna cum laude from Texas Tech University School of Law and the Texas Tech Rawls College of Business with a joint J.D./M.B.A. degree in 2005. In law school, she served as articles editor on the Texas Tech Law Review and served as a Legal Practice Teaching Fellow. She was also the recipient of the jurisprudence award in both Legal Practice II and Criminal Procedure. Lindsay received her undergraduate degree from Texas A&M University, where she graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in 2001.

Lindsay is a member of the Tarrant County Bar Association, the Tarrant County Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, and the Order of the Coif.
